The Beginning:
Formation of the first company, realising the common goal of the founding members to make R.E.A.L education available to everyone. More companies were formed as the demand for learning centres grew. Eventually, they went through a re-structuring exercise and finally Education Ventures Sdn Bhd was formed to ‘parent’ the rest.

The First School & CEC:
The first school, Sek. Seri Suria [originally named, Sek. Sang Suria] started operations with 40 students in the kindergarten, primary and secondary sections. Technically, the first CEC [Child Enrichment Centre] began here, with only 3 children. It was then operated from a rented bungalow in Tmn Cuepacs, Cheras.
By the eighth year, the school expanded and filled up two other neighbouring bungalows. Meanwhile the construction of our own school began at the 13th mile, Jln Hulu Langgat, Cheras.
The whole school then relocated to this premise; starting the next academic year in December 1993. [In 1993, the Government advanced the academic session to start in December instead of January each year. However this change was discontinued two years later].
Block B commenced operations first, with a 4-storey building. An additional building [Block A], was completed in 1996 to cater for the school’s expansion. The third addition [Block C], began classes in 1999 bringing the physical capacity of the school to 1,350.

This year marked an important date in the history of R.E.A.L education. We wrote and published our own curriculum for CEC [this was later branded the R.E.A.L Curriculum], incorporating Malaysian social and cultural elements into the books. While adopting the Multiple Intelligences approach we are also conscious of the need to be in line with the national pre-school curriculum. Our books are upgraded on a periodic basis. An entire team of staff are dedicated to this important activity of the company.
